The QU Scholarship Fund is a post-secondary scholarship program designed to promote scholastic excellence of Arizona LGBT youth regardless of financial, social or personal backgrounds. Created by Dr. Shel-Don J. Legarreta and Dr. Kevin Axx in early 2012, QU provides monetary awards and mentoring support to Arizona LGBT youth earning college, university or vocational degrees or certificates.
QU Scholarship Fund partners with the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) to professionally manage and safeguard our charitable assets. Founded in the late 1970s, ACF works to improve the quality of life in Arizona by promoting and facilitating effective philanthropy.
ACF is confirmed in compliance with the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations, voluntarily adopting policies and procedures to guarantee that they conduct business not only legally, but ethically.
This all-volunteer group serves the QU Scholarship Fund through decision making, time and talent.

The generosity of our Arizona LGBT and Allies community continues to astound us. Since 2012, we have raised nearly $375,000, with $90,000 given out in scholarships and another $285,000 going to meet our endowment goal.
QU is proud of our active partnerships.
